UAE, GCC Cities Dominate Global Safety Rankings with Top 10 Positions: In the latest Numbeo Safety Index rankings, UAE and GCC cities have emerged as the safest globally, with Abu Dhabi securing the number one spot as the world’s safest city, achieving an outstanding safety index score of 88.4. This recognition highlights the emirate’s unwavering commitment to public safety, security infrastructure, and community wellbeing.

Coming in second is Doha, Qatar, with a strong safety index of 84.1, further solidifying the Gulf region’s reputation for peace and stability. Taipei, Taiwan, closely follows in third place with a score of 83.8.

Significantly, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Ajman have all secured places in the top ten, reaffirming the UAE’s consistent dedication to safety. Dubai and Sharjah are tied at fourth place with safety scores of 83.8, while Ras Al Khaimah ranks sixth at 83.7, and Ajman secures the seventh position with 82.9.

Additionally, Muscat, Oman, represents another GCC success story, ranking eighth globally with a safety index of 80.9.

Outside the GCC, The Hague (Den Haag), Netherlands, and Munich, Germany, secured the ninth and tenth spots, with safety scores of 79.5 and 79.4 respectively.

The Numbeo Safety Index is a respected global ranking system that evaluates cities based on user-contributed data about perceptions of crime levels, safety while walking during daylight or night, and other public safety indicators. These rankings provide valuable insights for residents, travellers, and investors by showcasing cities with the highest levels of safety and security worldwide.

Overall, these rankings clearly demonstrate that UAE and GCC cities are setting global benchmarks in safety and livability, thanks to effective governance, stringent security measures, and a strong culture of respect and community harmony.
