The announcement was made in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during the closing ceremony of the 5th Arab Hope Makers initiative in Dubai.
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and aims to establish a sustainable AED 1 billion endowment fund dedicated to providing healthcare for the poor and needy. Mirwais Azizi’s contribution, the largest individual private sector donation in UAE history, will fund the development of a state-of-the-art humanitarian medical complex. This complex will include a hospital, a research center, and a medical training facility, all built to the highest international standards. His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), signed the agreement with Mirwais Azizi during the ceremony. Al Gergawi praised Azizi’s generosity, stating that it reflects the UAE’s position as a global humanitarian capital.
