Coca-Cola Confirms Cane Sugar Cola Launch in US After Trump’s Announcement: Coca-Cola announced on Tuesday. that it will introduce a cane sugar version of its trademark cola to its US product line-up this fall, aligning with a recent statement by US President Donald Trump.
Last week, President Trump revealed on social media that Coca-Cola had agreed to use real cane sugar in its flagship product, replacing high fructose corn syrup, which has been the sweetener since the 1980s. Although Coca-Cola did not confirm the change immediately, it hinted at new offerings soon.

On Tuesday, Coca-Cola Chairman and CEO James Quincey officially confirmed the news during a conference call with investors. He stated that Coca-Cola would expand its product range “to reflect consumer interest in differentiated experiences.”
“We appreciate the president’s enthusiasm for our Coca-Cola brand,” Quincey said. “We are definitely looking to use the whole toolkit of available sweetening options.”

Additionally, Quincey highlighted that Coca-Cola already uses cane sugar in some US drinks, including its Simply brand lemonade and Honest Tea. Moreover, since 2005, the company has sold Mexican Coke, which is made with cane sugar, in the United States.
This upcoming cane sugar cola launch is expected to cater to growing consumer demand for natural ingredients and traditional formulations, strengthening Coca-Cola’s market position amid changing health preferences.
