Riyadh Valley Company launches KSU venture fund with SparkLabs: Riyadh Valley Company Launches King Saud University Venture Fund in Partnership with SparkLabs Riyadh Valley Company—the investment arm of King Saud University—announced its contribution to establishing the King Saud University Venture Fund and Startup Accelerator in collaboration with the global group SparkLabs. This strategic initiative aims to strengthen the university’s innovation ecosystem and transform scientific research outputs and entrepreneurial projects into high-impact, sustainable tech startups.

The fund targets early-stage startups, with a particular focus on ventures emerging from King Saud University, including projects led by students, researchers, and faculty members. It will also attract promising technology companies seeking to benefit from the university’s advanced research and innovation infrastructure.

The fund will be managed by SparkLabs, one of the world’s leading venture capital and startup acceleration platforms. Founded in Silicon Valley in 2013, SparkLabs operates in more than 12 countries and has an extensive investment track record that includes hundreds of technology companies across various sectors.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Saleh, CEO of Riyadh Valley Company, emphasised that this step aligns with the company’s strategic role in supporting King Saud University’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. He noted that the fund and its accompanying accelerator will help build the capabilities of university-based entrepreneurs, enhance the investment readiness of tech projects, and strengthen the university’s position as a national leader in innovation and technology within the knowledge economy.
