Saudi autotech Syarah raises $12 million from Impact46: Saudi Arabia-based automotive technology startup Syarah has raised $12 million in a new investment round from Impact46 as the company looks to expand its digital marketplace for new and used vehicles across the Kingdom. The stage of the funding round was not disclosed.

Founded in 2015 by Salah Sharef and Fayez Alanazi, Syarah operates an online automotive marketplace that enables consumers to browse and purchase new and used vehicles through a digital platform. Customers can complete much of the purchasing process remotely and have their selected vehicles delivered directly to their location.

The latest investment is expected to support Syarah’s nationwide expansion, while strengthening its digital platform and vehicle delivery operations. The company has not disclosed a detailed breakdown of how the new capital will be allocated.

Syarah’s business model combines an online vehicle marketplace with nationwide delivery, allowing customers across different regions of Saudi Arabia to access a broader selection of vehicles without having to rely exclusively on traditional dealership visits.

The company already serves customers across all regions of Saudi Arabia and has facilitated thousands of vehicle purchases, according to Arab Founders. Its digital-first approach is designed to simplify the car-buying journey by bringing vehicle discovery, purchasing and delivery together on a single platform.

Building on $60 Million Series C

The latest funding follows Syarah’s $60 million Series C round in 2024, which was led by Artal Capital with participation from Elm, Impact46, Tawuniya and Derayah Ventures.

The additional investment from Impact46 highlights continued investor interest in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving digital automotive sector, where changing consumer preferences and increasing adoption of online services are reshaping the traditional vehicle-buying experience.

With the new capital, Syarah plans to broaden its reach across the Kingdom and continue investing in the technology and logistics infrastructure supporting its online marketplace.

As Saudi Arabia accelerates its digital transformation under Vision 2030, companies such as Syarah are positioning themselves to capitalize on growing consumer demand for convenient, technology-enabled automotive services.
